Disneyland 60th Anniversary Celebration Time Lapse – 2015 This time-lapse video covers the Disneyland 60th Anniversary Celebration, an event which commemorated the theme park’s six decades in Anaheim, California. This video is the product of over 30,000 photos shot on a Panasonic GH4 in 4K resolution. A Revolve Camera Slider & Flow-Mow enabled the smooth, free rotation seen in the video. The special event ran for 24 hours starting at 6 a.m. on May 22nd, 2015. It featured the premiere of the new “Paint the Night” parade, the new “Disneyland Forever” fireworks show, and a new version of the “World of Color” show entitled “Celebrate! The Wonderful World of Walt Disney.” The “Paint the Night” parade, also known as “Disneyland’s New Light Parade,” prominently featured colorful floats covered in LED lights. In fact, the floats contained over 1.5 million LED lights in total. Meanwhile, 76 performers representing various Disney characters added to the festivities. The procession began with a Peter Pan-inspired float, featuring Tinker Bell flying in a color spiral created by over 850,000 individual light sources. Other float themes included The Little Mermaid, Toy Story, and Frozen. The “Disneyland Forever” event was a seven-part show in which fireworks were launched at various locations throughout the park. The show featured the original songs “Live the Magic” and “Kiss Goodnight” along with classic songs from Mary Poppins and The Jungle Book. In addition to the fireworks, Disney imagery was projected onto various buildings and even the surface of the Matterhorn. “World of Color – Celebrate! The Wonderful World of Walt Disney” updated the “World of Color” show to focus on the legacy of Walt Disney. Neil Patrick Harris and Mickey Mouse recounted the history of Disney, accompanied by stunning water effects such as fountains and mist-based projection screens. Another available attraction was the California Adventure Land. This theme park was built in 2001 to complement Disneyland Resort’s original theme park, which is now referred to simply as Disneyland. The Downtown Disney District could also be seen, with its colorful dining, shopping, and nightclub experiences. Videographer: “I liked how the new shows really highlighted Walt Disney because this wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for his dedication and never giving up on his dreams.” Gear & Details: 30,000+ Photos Taken, Shot in 24 Hours on the Panasonic GH4, Filmed in 4K, Revolve Camera, Flow-Mow.
