Is Your Website Mobile Friendly?

In a nutshell, Google and other major search engines are giving authority to mobile friendly websites when the user is searching on a Smartphone of Tablet.

Test Your Site Now

As the owner of a business in Marin County or Sonoma County, you already know how important it is to have a strong online presence. After all, people in the local area generally visit your website before heading to nearby stores or businesses. In fact, 81% of consumers visit a companies website before making any purchases. Just a few years ago, the majority of these potential customers accessed the Internet via desktop computers and laptops. According to comScore, the balance has tipped; more people now access the Internet via mobile devices. Google drove this point home by updating their algorithms to make mobile-friendliness a strong factor in the search engine ranking structure. What does this mean for your site? Well, if it’s not mobile-friendly, it will not rank as well as another site that is mobile friendly.

    • Hi Andrea,

Thank you for reaching out to me. I would like to help but I don’t actually work on Squarespace sites and I am assuming you wouldn’t want to rebuild your site on WordPress. Typically with Squarespace, if you can’t make the changes yourself, a web developer usually can’t either. Squarespace limits what you can do and what you can customize making it hard for web developers to customize or develop on their platform. Squarespace is an entry level product but when you want to grow beyond the capabilities that Squarespace offers, most companies switch over to WordPress or Shopify. If the changes you are trying to make are in regards to Squarespace core, since you pay monthly to Squarespace, they have support that should help you. I primarily and a WordPress and Shopify website designer in Marin and Sonoma. I am very sorry if this creates any inconvenience.

Thank you again for reaching out,
      Bryn Howlett
